Corporate Events NYC
Lee was born in Israel and moved to America when she was four. She grew up in Florida and moved to NYC on a whim. In 2014 she founded her business to inspire workplace happiness. Wekudo helps companies built awesome team cultures with a click of a button. They help teams and departments find awesome things to do together, for their clients, and for one another.
Who are your ideal clients?: Our ideal clients are typically companies that have 50-250 employees. A lot of our clients are tech companies and startups, but a lot of real estate agencies, retail stores, marketing/advertising agencies, legal and account firms work with us too.
What is the biggest reason for your success so far?: We have a customer first mentality. The happiness of our customers is incredibly important to us and is on the forefront of everything that we do. Over 90% of our clients return back to us within the first year of doing business together.
What is working best for your marketing right now?: Besides the organic traffic we receive from Google, word of mouth is the second biggest referral source of business.
What is your biggest differentiator?: We are a one stop shop for corporate events. A lot of our competitors do packages for things which often makes things less flexible and customizable. Along with that, a lot of them have very expensive experiences. We found that a lot of growing companies really want to do things for their teams, but don’t have huge budgets so it becomes very difficult to find the activities and events that work within their parameters.
What is the toughest decision you’ve had to make in the last few months?: In order to focus on technology, we had to put a hold on bringing in all the clients that are coming in. It was a tough decision, but it was for the long-term best interest of our clients and for the company.
If it was possible, what advice would you give yourself 10 years ago?: Well… I’m only 25… but if I had to give myself advice 10 years ago it would be to enjoy life a bit more. I took my studies and school very seriously. I worked my butt off to get into my ‘dream college’ (University of Florida). And guess what? I worked my butt off in college in order to get the best job. Ironically, a few years after that, I gave up the employee life and became an employer.
Everything worked out just fine 🙂
Favorite place to travel to?: Italy.
What is your favorite hobby?: I love to draw. I started drawing in high school and quickly move to AP art. In college, I majored in Marketing and worked on a second major in Art.
What book are you most likely to give as a gift?: Conversation with God. (Not a religious book surprisingly – but definitely one of my favorites!)
What is your favorite app or online tool? : Canva, Spotify or Wix. They all hold a special place in my heart.
What advice do you have for new founders? : Enjoy the ride.
